Doug Allen

Doug Allen founded Brigham Consultants in 2014 after more than 25 years running and improving manufacturing operations. He started on the shop floor as a metallurgical apprentice and spent his early career in the foundry industry — where he watched capable businesses decline, not through bad luck, but through a lack of measurement, investment and improvement. It is an experience that still shapes how he works.

He learned the other side of the story at Goodrich Aerospace and then Moog, where lean, a strong people-based culture and relentless improvement drove growth rather than decline. As Head of Facilities and Continuous Improvement at Moog he led a busy value stream alongside major site infrastructure projects, and helped deliver a multi-million-pound improvement in profit by putting performance in front of the workforce and empowering over 400 people to improve every day.

Doug went on to lead the buy-in management buyout (BIMBO) of HT Brigham & Co, structuring and winning the funding himself, and continues to lead acquisitions and investment. He brings that combination — operator, improver and dealmaker — to businesses that have to keep delivering.
